" The property is an attractively situated and substantial natural stone four bedroomed detached cottage situated within convenient and level walking distance of the town centre. The original parts of the property are understood to date back to around 1750 and with a later, and particularly sympathetic natural stone extension added in around 1975. \r \rSome of the cottage's original features have been retained including exposed beams, exposed stone walls, a well in the sitting room as a feature with a glazed panel in the floor. The accommodation consists of entrance hall with parquet tiled floor and staircase to landing. Off the hall is a cloakroom with a white suite. The very comfortable sitting room has a ceiling beam. Within the original part of the cottage the good sized dining room has a natural stone feature fireplace and a ceiling beam with the original enclosed porch to the front of the cottage now making a very useful log store. From the dining room is a secondary spiral staircase up to the first floor. The kitchen/breakfast room has a range of bespoke pine units comprising base cupboards and drawers with matching wall cupboards and a flagstone floor. From here there is access to a useful utility room that incorporates the Potterton gas fired central heating boiler. At first floor level there is a good sized master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and windows to two aspects. The guest/second bedroom again has fitted double wardrobes and this time an en suite shower room. Bedroom three is considered to be a double with the fourth bedroom a single, and again have exposed beams, and share the modern family bathroom with its white suite. \r \rTo the side of the cottage is a good sized detached garage with remotely controlled roller door and eaves storage space. The gardens are to the front and side of the property and are surrounded by a mixture of mature hedging and Cotswold stone walling and offers excellent degrees of seclusion. As you approach the cottage down Chavenage Lane, you will see a wonderful topiary snail as part of the privet hedge. To the far side, the very pretty garden has an ornamental pond surrounded by herbaceous borders, and there is off road parking in front of and to the side of the garage for at least three cars.?"
