"It is unusual to find a house that sits in a such a private and yet central position as this let alone one that has such an exceptional feeling of warmth and character to it. Externally the house has beautiful crisp white rendered elevations under a clay tiled roof all of which is beautifully offset with the delightful original lead light windows. The house is approached through a very private and attractive front garden where a Yorkstone pathway leads to a beautiful enclosed entrance porch with a lovely quarry tiled floor which leads to the solid wood and stained glass front door.

Once inside the depth of character becomes immediately apparent as a wonderfully warm and welcoming entrance hall leads to all of the principal living rooms and has a wonderful view up the turning staircase where a huge stain glass window brings in a beautiful shade of light. Throughout the house there are countless hugely appealing features that one would hope to find in a property such as this including exposed wooden floors, beautiful wood panelled doors, cornices and high skirting boards, all of which add greatly to the warmth and character of the house as a whole. The drawing room is of an exceptional size and has a wonderful outlook to the side and rear which makes it an extremely light room, a fact that very much accentuates the feeling of space. Again there is a rich solid wood maple floor and at the back, a leaded light glazed door leads out onto the terrace and rear garden. The adjacent dining room is likewise a very comfortable size and again has a beautiful wood floor while to one side, a fabulous original fireplace with a substantial wooden surround and mantle houses a log burner. Overlooking the garden a beautiful square bay window allows in a great deal of light while to the side, a door leads out onto the sun terrace and a further secret door into the kitchen. Off the main reception hall an inner hallway passes the cloakroom and continues into an enormously attractive breakfast room where large leaded light windows overlook the front and a central fireplace houses an Aga. This room is very much open to the interpretation of the buyer as it could equally well work as a family room which would go very well together with the adjacent kitchen. The kitchen is predominantly made up of free standing bespoke wooden units that fit beautifully with the character of the house as does the rich quarry tiled floor. On the far side, there is a deep butler's sink with wooden worktops to either side and storage cupboards beneath. There is also a door from the kitchen into the dining room as well as a further door that leads out to the covered walkway at the side of the house."
