"Surrey homes built by Walter George Tarrant are synonymous with quality craftsmanship from the early 1900s, and Red Gables is certainly no exception. The principal rooms are significant, creating a home perfectly suited to entertainment. Indeed the reception hall could hardly be better for receiving guests - completely remodelled since its original inception, it now offers a wide open space with herringbone solid wood flooring. A downstairs cloakroom provides coat hanging space leading to a separate WC. From the hall, there are twin glazed doors to both main reception rooms. The drawing room is substantial enough for an 8ft grand piano and presents a southerly and westerly aspect via secondary glazed original leaded windows. There is an open fireplace with an attractive inlaid timber surround and marble hearth. The dining room comfortably affords a large dining table and is the perfect setting for marking special occasions. The sun-room connects the drawing room and dining room, (formerly a loggia), and provides lovely views of the gardens. The kitchen/dining room is a large space fitted with a comprehensive range of limed oak base and eye level units. Integral appliances include a microwave and oven, 4 ring electric hob, fridge/freezer and built in seat with matching table. The utility room, almost as large as the kitchen leads off the kitchen with an excellent pantry and a range of cupboards and spaces for the usual utility appliances. Off the kitchen is a good sized family room/study. This whole area could, with some clever planning be converted into one large, versatile living space, a feature becoming typical with modern family homes.

A wide staircase leads to a lovely, large open landing which gives access to a total of six of the bedrooms. The master bedroom overlooks the delightful gardens and features a walk-in dressing room. The en-suite bathroom is a spacious room fitted with a 6-piece suite including twin handbasins and a shower cubicle. The second bedroom interconnects with the master. All six bedrooms would more than comfortably accommodate a double bed. Two of them are accessed via a doorway and separate hallway so they could become an annexe if so required. These two rooms share their own shower room. There is of course a family bathroom and separate WC off the first floor landing. A further staircase rises to the second floor. The large room here has multi-functional uses and fine views across this coveted area of the estate. A further eaved room provides an ideal storage room and a walk in loft providing generous and easily accessible storage space."
