"A 6 bedroom Tarrant built home set in a 3/4 of an acre plot in the most sought after location in The Hockering.

DETAILS Built in the early 1910s by William Tarrant, the property retains many of its original features and has many possibilities for development and extension. The original oak front door leads to the entrance hall with doors to the study, sitting room, dining room and kitchen and the house has full secondary double glazing.

The double aspect sitting room has an open working fire with oak glazed display units to either side. The dining room has block wooden flooring and fitted oak dresser and display cupboards and there is a study which is fitted with light oak units by Neville Johnson with bookshelves, glazed display units, filing cupboard and desk together with WiFi and telephone point. The kitchen has a similar block wooden floor with separate butler's pantry area, scullery with double sink, waste disposal unit, space for dishwasher, together with walk-in larder. The utility room has been modernised with light coloured units, space for washing machine, tumble drier and fridge and also houses the two gas fired Gloworm boilers which are 3 years old.

As one climbs the stairs with original oak banisters, there is an original glazed window with stained glass insert. The master bedroom is double aspect with Neville Johnson fitted furniture, fireplace and mantle-piece and TV and telephone points. Adjoining this is a dressing room with vanity unit, wardrobes and original fireplace. The second bedroom has views over the garden with TV point, vanity unit and original fireplace. The second guest-suite has an en-suite bathroom with corner bath, power shower cubicle, vanity unit and the bedroom has fitted wardrobes and integral dressing table. On this floor there is also a further bathroom and separate WC.

A second staircase leads from the first landing to what was described as the 'servants' quarters'. There are two smaller bedrooms and both provide ample storage space.
