"Sitting in a commanding setting at the upper end of Ashwood Road this beautiful period home takes advantage of its elevated position to make the most of the light, a fact which is apparent throughout the house as a whole. This elevated setting enhances the brick and tile hung elevations, all of which is undoubtedly part of what makes this such an outstanding family home.

Throughout the house, the emphasis is very much on accommodation that is beautifully proportioned, a fact that is further emphasised by the height of the ceilings and this, coupled with the undoubted practicality of the layout, makes a house that works extremely well on a day to day living basis, taking into account the needs of modern day family living. There is an excellent separation here between the formal living/entertaining rooms and the day to day spaces, the latter of which are made up of a substantial kitchen/breakfast room with an adjacent family room which in turn leads into a conservatory that is perfectly situated for access out onto the terrace and garden beyond. The kitchen is spacious easily accommodating a large table and chairs making an ideal spot for informal dining with family or friends. The three formal reception rooms on the front of the house could likewise vary in their use but without question are very gracious principal rooms that have a wonderfully warm and inviting feel to them.

A grand and wide staircase leads from the reception hall to the first floor where 4 of the bedroom are each of an exceptional size with the master bedroom have an en suite bathroom and the others vanity basins. There is also a lounge /family room on the first floor with an adjoining room

(currently sewing room) which can also be accessed by a another staircase from the kitchen which gives the opportunity for this to be quite separate accommodation for a nanny or au-pair.

On the top floor, there are four further bedrooms, all of which likewise have a very appealing and interesting feel to them being, as they are, of differing shapes and sizes. It is rare for a home of this stature to become available in such a quiet, attractive and central location, let alone one that offers this level of accommodation and this must therefore be regarded as a rare opportunity to acquire one of central Woking's finer period homes."
