"A fabulous grade II listed family home with a rich history that dates back to the 1600?s with later Georgian and Victorian additions. This gorgeous, detached tile hung property is full of character and charm and is superbly located just outside of Haslemere town. The main house, accessed from the driveway, opens into a hallway flanked by the kitchen to the left with utility room and study to the right. The kitchen is country style with a gas fired AGA and a breakfast room adjoining. The three principal reception rooms situated at the rear of the property, each enjoy an outlook and access to the garden with the dining room and drawing room having French doors opening onto a beautiful veranda. The front hall, where the original front door is located, opens to an inner hall with an elegant staircase leading to a generous landing. There are four good sized bedrooms on the first floor with the master benefiting from en suite shower and bath facilities. There is an attic accessible from both the landing and one of the bedrooms that in the past been used as a playroom and bedroom. The property also has a large cellar which is approached via stairs from the hallway.
There is a self contained two bed cottage which has private access via its own front door as well as access from the main house. It features a well appointed kitchen, a gas fired AGA style range and a small pantry. The sitting room is a good size with a feature fireplace and French doors leading to the garden. Haslemere is situated on the border of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire and is extremely well positioned for access to London via either A3 M London Portsmouth Road or by rail from the mainline station in Haslemere which offers a frequent service to Waterloo in under an hour.
