"Arriving in the driveway of this beautifully constructed, imposing 1930's property, you will be charmed by the wealth of original features that still remain from the Arts and Crafts movement; a classic contrast of clay tiling, render, timber and brick herringbone detailing create a striking finish to the exterior of this handsome family home. Nestled next to leaded windows underneath the porch, a stunning carved wooden front door welcomes you to this home. The current owner focused quite carefully on drawing light into the house when restoring the property in the 1970's; large exposed windows throughout, with soft, pale painted surrounds bounce light into the fabulous, superbly proportioned rooms. This is immediately evident in the entrance hall; a glass panelled door offers access directly to the garden, whilst allowing the southerly sun to flood through. Picture rails sweep from room to room, adding a simple touch of detail to the high ceilings. The living room runs from the front of the property to the back, with large glass panelled double doors, giving a beautiful outlook across the south facing rear garden. With windows on all three external walls, you are guaranteed a naturally lit room throughout the day, the charming Minster fireplace, which like many other features of the property, has been sympathetically restored producing warmth for those frosty evenings.Moving across the entrance hall, takes you into the dining room, a perfect space for entertaining, and no longer will you have tricky Christmas celebrations, trying to squeeze the family around the table. The breakfast room, thought to be the old scullery, links both the Dining room and the Kitchen together, creating an excellent space either for a spot of breakfast or, for those with a young family, it would be wonderful as a playroom to keep an eye on the little ones whilst your cooking. The Kitchen is equipped with a fantastic walk in Larder Cupboard, with the original quarry tiled floor, next door to which is the Utility; this would have originally been the Tradesmen's entrance, and is still with the original bell! On the first floor, you will truly begin to appreciate the space offered, with 3 excellently proportioned double bedrooms and a fourth single bedroom with a lovely view over the front garden. The master bedroom benefits from a view over both the front and the rear garden, (again flooded with that beautiful southerly sun) and is equipped with en-suite facilities. Bedroom 2 is also of a brilliant size; (the proportions are fantastic!) from which you also have access to a vast amount of eaves storage."
