"Situated within this 18th century folly this four bedroom family home over three floors offers spacious reception rooms, four generous bedrooms and three bathrooms. To the rear the mature gardens have a southerly aspect and offers a high degree of seclusion and access to a single garage to the rear.
GENERAL The origin of Ruxley Tower lies in the 18th century but is widely known to have become a home to Lord Foley in 1870. It is suggested Lady Evelyne was disenchanted with this 'modest lodge' and complained it was like a 'rabbit hutch'. This led Lord Foley to rebuild the tower adding turrets and gargoyles. During the second world war the NAFFI made use of the building with the conversion to the building we have today taking place in the 1990's. Beckford House now provides the opportunity to live in a locally known landmark with Grade II listed status.
