Full description:
Built in 1898, this generously proportioned Victorian detached property sits on a plot approaching 0.5 of an acre. It is in a sought after road within a conservation area. The property has been sympathetically renovated and extended by the current owner retaining much of the charm and features of that period. Leading on from the large reception hall there is access to the split level inner hallway with period fireplace and the three main reception rooms. There is a large attractive bay (with window seat) in the drawing room with high ceilings, wood floor and a stunning period wood burning fireplace. The property has two further large receptions currently used as a dining room and a family room, both with fireplaces and period features.

From the inner hallway there are steps leading to a cloakroom and a substantial kitchen/breakfast room with its antique pine kitchen units and an excellent arrangement of integrated appliances with a gas-fired AGA. The kitchen leads to a large extended breakfast area with a lantern roof window and French doors to the sun terrace. There is also a door giving access to the utility room.

The first floor has six bedrooms incorporating a master bedroom with en-suite shower room, walk in wardrobe and a feature fireplace. Bedroom two has period features with a door giving access to a balcony. The large family bathroom has a shower and separate bath.

The gardens are mature and offer a good degree of privacy. Split into two main areas, there is a generous side garden with laid to lawn and a sun terrace. To the rear there is a large outdoor courtyard with heated swimming pool and changing room outbuildings. The front enjoys a mature private (in & out) driveway with concrete hard standing to one side and a large timber outbuilding. All within convenient walking distance to Town Centre and station.
