Our family has lived happily in Ashtead for nearly 50 years and have found there to be a close and friendly community and good local services. The block we lived in is well placed for the local banks, restaurants, shops and other services, and we have found there is a good choice of private and state schools available for the children. We have come to know some of our neighbours very well over the years, and there does not seem to have been a large turnover of residents in the other flats, which have generally always been owner occupied.
