* BOASTING AN EXCELLENT POSITION WITHIN THE FAVOURABLE VILLAGE OF PALGRAVE, THIS DECEPTIVELY SPACIOUS THREE/FOUR BEDROOM CHALET BUNGALOW ENJOYS RURAL VIEWS OVER THE WAVENEY VALLEY * OVERALL PLOT SIZE OF 0.2 OF AN ACRE (STS) * HAVING AN EXPANSE OF FLEXIBLE LIVING SPACE WITHIN * DOUBLE LENGTH GARAGE *
Located within the village of Palgrave the property is found off a small, no-through country lane just off the village green. Palgrave lies only one and a half miles to the south of Diss, just over the Waveney Valley and on the North Suffolk border. Palgrave is an attractive village with a strong local community, set around a pretty green with a mixture of period and modern properties. Within the village is a small village school and the property also benefits from being within the Hartismere School catchment. The historic market town of Diss provides an extensive range of day to day amenities and facilities including mainline railway station with regular services to London, Liverpool Street and Norwich.
The property comprises a three/four bedroom chalet bungalow. The bungalow was originally constructed in the 1950's and in latter years converted into a chalet bungalow at first floor level, creating an extremely impressive master bedroom with ensuite and dressing room, now being some 7.3m in length. The accommodation further stretches to two bedrooms, two reception rooms, kitchen/diner and family bathroom. The second reception room is of a good size and currently used as an office, however, could easily be used as a fourth bedroom if required. Attached to the side of the property is a large double length garage (with power laid on), which perhaps could be converted into further living space and increasing the property's square footage (if required and subject to the necessary consents). The current vendor also had planning permission granted in 2002 for an extension to the rear of the property, being almost the same size as the bungalow itself. For further information regarding this, please contact the selling agent.
The property occupies a most pleasant position within Palgrave, set back off a small country lane and in an elevated position. To the front there is off-road parking leading up to the attached garage with the gardens predominately laid to lawn. There is side access to the rear gardens, which are of a particularly good size and boast from being westerly facing. The rear gardens are very well established and offer a good deal of privacy within, backing onto open countryside. The overall plot size is 0.2 of an acre (sts). From the rear boundaries there are beautiful views over the Waveney Valley and over Diss. Lows Lane gives access to pleasant countryside walks over The Lows and into Diss (being approximately 15-20 minutes walk).
