"Park House occupies one of the best locations in this part of Staffordshire. Set amongst some of the most attractive countryside, the property is on the outskirts of Bishops Wood with a history stretching back 500 years.

Reputed to have been the Bishop of Lichfield's hunting lodge in the late 16th century, the sandstone and brick house has some stunning features, not least the incredible and breath-taking views.

Access to the Park House is by a private unmade road, part of which is a bridleway running through the woodland. It's hard to imagine a more tranquil and private spot.

The timbered entrance porch brings you into one of the two sitting rooms with an exposed brick fireplace and bread ovens either side. To the left of this is a second sitting room of similar proportion and another exposed brick fireplace.

A door at the rear of the property gives day to day access from the car parking area into the utility room which, with its tiled floors make it a practical space in which to leave boots, pets and muddy children. It also houses the oil fired central heating boiler and has plumbing for an automatic washing machine.

Steps up from the utility bring you in to the kitchen which has not only a practical layout, perfect for entertaining but boasts some simply wonderful views from the kitchen sink.

The kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining room by way of a couple more steps, bringing you back down to the same level as you entered the utility. The dining room has a bay window with window seat looking out towards Little Bishops Wood across a valley and double doors to the front of the property.

Stairs lead to the first floor from the sitting room where the accommodation is arranged around the central landing.

The master bedroom is situated over the dining room, sharing the same views through double doors to a small balcony. There are three further bedrooms, family bathroom and additional guest WC.

Externally there is an open fronted double garage of brick and tile construction with gravelled parking area in front. The property is surrounded by large lawns with mature borders and hedges. The rear garden has a large summer house to one side, while the front garden has cottage style planting and a good sized vegetable plot.

This wonderful Grade II listed building simply has to be seen to appreciate all that it has to offer. It's been a warm, family home since being restored by the current owners and will no doubt go on to give joy for generations.
