Situation East Stoke Farm is found at the end of a private drive surrounded by open countryside on the edge of the sought after village of Stoke St Mary, an attractive and thriving village. Taunton, the County Town of Somerset is approximately 3 miles distance and offers a range of shopping, leisure and scholastic amenities and a direct service to London Paddington from Taunton railway station as well as access to M5 motorway at junction 25. Description East Stoke Farm was originally constructed in the mid 1960's to an individual design and specification, the current owners have skilfully and sympathetically extended the accommodation to create a well presented family house. On the ground floor there is a large sitting room with a wood burning stove, a separate dining room, a versatile family room/bedroom on the ground floor and on the first floor there are five further bedrooms and a family bathroom. All the principle rooms have wonderful views south over open countryside. The utility room has a range of fitted units, single drainer sink unit, plumbing for a dishwasher and door to the outside.
On the first floor there is a landing with an airing cupboard. Bedrooms one and two are dual aspect rooms with great distant views. Bedroom three has a window and a built in wardrobe to one wall. Bedroom four, again with fine views. Bedroom five/living room has a fireplace incorporating a wood burning stove and double doors to the balcony. The family bathroom has a modern suite comprising a panelled bath with a shower over, WC and wash hand basin. Outside East Stoke Farm has a large garden as well as approximately 8.6 acres of pasture land and a orchard. The property also has the potential to purchase a further 8 acres, which is woodland. The property is approached via a private driveway, which leads to a parking and turning area that also gives access to the double garage. East Stoke Farm has lovely formal gardens to the side. There is a kitchen garden with fruit bushes, orchard, log store and store shed. The gardens extend round to the front of the house, where there are further expanses of lawn interspersed with well stocked flower and shrub borders. To the rear of the house there is a patio area with a summer house and timber shed. From the lawned area there is a pedestrian gate leading into the paddocks. The paddocks are divided into four convenient sized enclosures and there is an implement/animal barn measuring 30'x14.5' with a covered area to the front. One of the front paddocks has direct access to the road. Services Mains water, mains electricity and oil fired central heating plus thermal water heating. Directions After leaving Taunton on the B3170 travel towards Corfe. Shortly after passing Kings College on the left hand side, turn left just after the pedestrian crossing into Stoke Road. At the T-junction, turn right and then take the first left into Dowsland Way. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles into the centre of Stoke St Mary. Turn left to follow the road past the pub and continue around the sharp left hand bend just by the church continue for a short distance where the entrance can be found on the right hand side (signpost Church Close) just after the bungalows.
