DESCRIPTION 2 Rose Green is a semi detached stone and brick built cottage which originates from the 16th century, when many properties in the surrounding area were owned by the Poulett family of Hinton St George. The sitting room a cosy and enjoys a fireplace, currently housing an electric feature fire but has pervious been fitted with a wood burner.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one of double proportions and a large single. Both enjoy views across the garden and towards open countryside as well as some exposed timbers. There is also a bathroom with a modern suite on the first floor where the airing cupboard is also located.
Outside there is an excellent sized area of garden which surrounds the property, primarily laid to lawn with a herb garden and a variety of mature shrubs and trees. A gravel driveway provides parking for several cars and there is also a garage with power and light which is currently utilised as a workshop.
From the garden, a five bar wooden gate leads into a paddock which would give the ideal opportunities for keeping chickens or horses, or to enlarge the garden if desired. In all, the plot measures approximately 0.65 of an acre.
