SITUATION The Old Rectory is superbly situated in a very private location surrounded by its own ground on the edge of the popular village of Brushford, which lies just outside the Exmoor National Park. Brushford offers a range of amenities, including a garage and stores, village hall and the Church of St Michael. . Dulverton, just two miles away, is a delightful little town nestling in the Barle Valley within the National Park and is well known as The Gateway to Exmoor. It provides good shopping facilities together with a bank, post office, chemist, doctors, dental and veterinary surgeries, library, primary and middle school and a well used town hall. There are also good recreational facilities including squash courts, all weather tennis courts and football and cricket pitches. . The county town of Taunton, which is approximately 25 miles away, has excellent retail and commercial facilities, together with access to the M5 and a main line station with fast rail links to London. There are three independent schools and the county cricket ground. Tiverton, which is some 12 miles to the south, offers a range of shopping and entertainment facilities, the well-known Blundells School and also has easy access to the M5 and Tiverton Parkway. . The Cathedral and University City of Exeter is approximately 27 miles away. Exeter Airport to the east of the city provides national and international flight opportunities. . The property is well located for walking, fishing and riding and is just a short drive from the wonderful hills and valleys of Exmoor. Wimbleball Lake is nearby offering lovely lakeside walks, sailing and other water sports.
