SITUATION Winters Lodge is set in an idyllic rural location, approached via a country lane, approximately 1 mile from the village centre. The sought after village of Spaxton is set on the lower slopes of the Quantock Hills, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing a wonderful location for all country pursuits including a wide network of footpaths and bridleways. The village provides an array of local amenities including a post office, church, village inn, filling station, popular school and village hall. Taunton, the county town, is 8 miles distant and has a wide range of shopping and recreational facilities together with a mainline railway station. The market town of Bridgwater is 7 miles away with easy access to the M5 motorway (junction 24). Boating and fishing activities can be enjoyed at the nearby Durleigh and Hawkridge Reservoirs and golf courses can be found at Enmore and Taunton. Taunton also benefits from a choice of highly regarded independent schools, which are within easy reach, including Queens and Kings College and Taunton School. DESCRIPTION Winters Lodge offers an attractive, very spacious, detached, timber framed single-storey 2 bed lodge. The property is featured as a gold star property on the England Country Cottages website (reference EUA) with a virtual tour. To the front of the lodge is a decked area with views across the lake and further duck ponds, together with a second patio by the edge of the lake. There is a substantial timber clad OUTBUILDING which has electricity. The grounds extend to 1.7 Acres. Take the first right into Bush Lane and after approximately half a mile Winters Lodge can be found on the right hand side.
