DESCRIPTION
The White House was originally a Grade II listed cottage and is believed to be one of the oldest houses in the village. In the 1950's an adjoining garage was converted to create The White Cottage providing ancillary accommodation to the main residence. In recent years an astounding transformation has taken place and the property has been substantially extended and completely refurbished to an exceptional standard.
There is an extensive run of reception space with a wonderful kitchen forming the focal point of the living areas. The first floor accommodation is divided into two sections with dual staircases forming flexible sleeping provision.
Whilst retaining much of the period charm of the original house, including some fine timbering, the design philosophy of The White House is entirely contemporary with a modern feel and a particularly high level of appointments. There is underfloor central heating to the ground floor with the majority of the rooms having Travertine stone flooring. There is a Systemline media installation with most of the reception rooms having ceiling speakers and there is an advanced security system with cameras. The kitchen has an impressive array of appliances and either Jacuzzi or Duravit sanitaryware is fitted throughout.
