    Believed to date back to the mid 1600's, Pen Y Wern offers buyers an opportunity to purchase unspoilt character in a home which can be improved to suit a buyers own requirements. The cottage presently provides very comfortable living space, however, there is potential to improve and create more accommodation if required.

    The living/dining room, with its flagstone floor, has a magnificent inglenook fireplace housing a Clearview wood burning stove on a flagstone hearth. The separate cosy sitting room also has a wood burning stove set in a fireplace and a window overlooking the garden and out towards the hills in the distance. There is a small study with a built in bookcase, a useful storeroom which houses the boiler, and a separate cellar.

    From Ludlow proceed in a northerly direction along the A49 to Craven Arms. Turn left onto the B4368 and proceed to Clun. Take the Knighton road over Clun Bridge and carry on for about a mile and a half. Turn left signposted Pen Y Wern. Carry on to a crossroads and turn right. Just beyond a stone barn on the left turn left onto the drive of Pen Y Wern."
