"With origins dating from the 17th century, this grade II listed cottage has been a very convenient and happy home for the current owner for the past 35 years. Downstairs consists of a well proportioned kitchen with tiled, terracotta floor, fireplace, gas cooker and electric oven. There is then a generous living room with a number of windows and a historic fireplace which contains a log burning stove. Between the kitchen and this living room is a semi partitioned area with a window that currently operates well as a study. Around 20 years ago, an orangery side extension measuring circa 170 sq ft was erected which provides access via double doors to a paved terrace area and rear garden. Finally, there is a downstairs bathroom containing a shower cubicle. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, of which two are generous doubles, with the principal served by a smart en suite bathroom with a roll top bath.

The rear garden is laid mostly to lawn with mature boarders, side gate access and a paved terrace for outdoor seating. Parking is available on the street and we re advised that it s often possible to park very close by.

Benson is a historic Oxfordshire village moments from the Thameside town of Wallingford and roughly halfway between the cities of Oxford and Reading. The village is well served by two pubs, The Crown Inn and The Three Horseshoes, as well as a parade of shops that includes a Co Op. There is also a Doctor s Surgery, recreation ground and tennis courts. In neighbouring Wallingford there is a greater selection of shops as well as a Waitrose supermarket. The closest motorway access is via junction 6 of the M40 and there is the choice of either Didcot Parkway or Cholsey stations for regular services into London Paddington, those from Didcot can be as fast as just under 40 mins. This location is well served by local state funded schools as well as a number of private schools which includes Abingdon, Moulsford and Cranford."
