"A thoroughly stylish end of terrace three bed house with open fire, remodelled and extended kitchen, delightful garden and off road parking. Lovely condition, great flair, and set towards the quiet end of the road near the park. NO CHAIN.

The very best of its type. Open and spacious, well presented, lots of style, and immensely practical Wolsey Road is a quiet residential street in the ever popular suburb of Cutteslowe, immensely popular with families. There are many lovely open spaces, most notably Cutteslowe Park which is acres of picturesque common land. The school within walking distance is well regarded and this also feeds to Cherwell, a fine Secondary school. Locally all the amenities of Summertown and Central Oxford are a short distance away (with frequent buses). Access to road and rail transport links, schools, open park land, frequent bus services etc is peerless, and the new mainline train station within less than a mile (Oxford Parkway) is elevating this to one of the easiest addresses to commute from - services reach London Marylebone in under an hour. When we last sold this house, it was the highest priced three bed of any yet sold in the road. There is a good reason! The extension and renovation work done wasn't just pleasant, it felt a little like being on holiday. The house has improved ever since with tweaks and extra touches increasing that feeling. It is also practical, with great storage as well as a flow that seems instantly natural and easy. Add to that off road parking, and a garden that may stop you going to the park ever again, and it's a knockout! Entering the property a hall opens in front with stairs off. To the right a door leads into the bright and airy living room which is very well proportioned and features a lovely bay window to the front, complete with some very attractive and practical plantation shutters. This fabulous room features an open fire and there is a timber floor throughout. At the rear the hall opens to the kitchen and bathroom. The extension has created a significant extra space. The bathroom is ultra modern, pristine and cleverly designed. At the front a bidet and modern wc have been fitted; then there is a bath in its own separate cubicle, with a thermostatic shower overhead; then to the right a modern sink has been placed on a timber shelf with both the controls and the mixer set into the wall under a large mirror. This is a great example of form and function melding equally. Next door, the kitchen is extremely inviting and large. A breakfast table and four chairs easily fits to the front and behind it the removal of the original wall has necessitated a vertical pillar that has actually assisted in forming a kitchen design that extends round three sides. Modern units topped off with wooden surfaces contrast beautifully with the white of the walls, and there is a Belfast style sink inset. In addition there is masses of fitted storage, and to the rear glazed double doors open out onto a lovely garden, encouraging you to interact with the garden whenever possible. The Veluxes above the rear also help to flood light in, keeping the whole room bright and positive. Upstairs, three bedrooms all provide excellent space. Exposed timber floors throughout give a real feeling of the character of the house. Beds two and three both overlook the lengthy garden and playing fields behind, a delightful outlook. Bedroom one is a generous size, and equipped with an en-suite shower room. The same level of relaxed but stylish design has been applied here as downstairs. A wooden shelf carries a circular ceramic sink over which there is a mixer. Underfoot the floor is tiled for ease. The whole is inviting and beautifully presented. Outside, to the front the garden has been converted to provide a space for parking off the road, enclosed by fencing and some very pretty, mature flowers and shrubs. To the left a gate leads through into the back garden. Here, the terrace wraps around the rear of the house then the level raises one step up to a gravelled area for seating. Running along both sides is a bewildering array of plants; there are various fruit trees, climbers and box hedging. Several more seating areas, some hard paved and some gravelled, intersperse with lawn. In all it is one of the prettiest gardens we have seen in an Oxford setting, providing a wonderful feeling of peace and serenity. Directions Lovely local community
