LOCATION
The small village of Black Bourton lies 14 miles west of Oxford, 5 miles south-west of Witney, 2 miles south of Carterton and just over a mile north of Clanfield. The village lies on gently rising ground some three miles north of the river Thames. Retaining a markedly rural character the village is a mixture of old cottages constructed of coursed limestone rubble with thatched or stone-slated roofs and newer properties. The village has a Green and play park as well as The Vines Hotel, bar and restaurant. The village also has a bus stop with regular buses going North to Carterton and running south to Bampton and on to Witney.

DIRECTIONS
From Bampton leave the village heading towards Clanfield. Take the first right towards Black Bourton and follow the road into the Village. Take a right turn on to Burford Road Elm Close will be found approximately 300 yards along on the right hand side and directly opposite The Vines Hotel.
