The house is situated on a sizable new build estate with properties up to 13 years old. The house was completed towards the later build phases and is nearly 10 years old. It is situated with views of the North Tyne valley. Prudh is somewhat rural with walks and cycle paths along the river Tyne.

As its name suggests the Castlefields estate in which the house is located is within the boundaries of the splendid 12th Century Prudh Castle. One of the advantages of the location is its convenience to the small town centre and the Castle itself, taking in stunning views of the Tyne valley and a small forest trail. Nearby there is a riverside park and walk/cycle path along the banks of the Tyne. It also has easy access to the city of Newcastle to the East and Hexham to the West by car train or bus. Heading west many Roman sites along the Roman Wall are just a short car journey with the superlative Lake District less than 90 minutes away.
