Dating back to the early 1800’s this traditional property, formerly the post office, provides generous family accommodation with enclosed south facing garden. It is situated within the village of Newton on the Moor with easy access to the main A1 road for commuting and only around 5 miles from the town of Alnwick with all its facilities.

The ground floor accommodation includes entrance porch and hallway, dining room or family room, large kitchen/ breakfast/ living room with door out to the conservatory, separate sitting room with gas fired cast iron stove, two double bedrooms, bathroom, shower room and utility area.

On the first floor there are two further bedrooms within the roof space with exposed beams and walk-in storage area.

Gas fired central heating from a combination boiler is included with secondary heating from the multifuel stove and gas stove. Double glazing and some secondary glazing.

The garage is integral to the house and may be suitable for further living accommodation or craft workshop subject to any necessary permissions. At the rear of the premises and adjacent to the garage is a dedicated parking area for two vehicles.

Externally the south facing sheltered garden is partly laid to lawn with a vegetable plot plus established shrubs and fruit bushes. The stone outbuilding is currently used for storage.

Newton on the Moor has an excellent public house/ restaurant, and the nearest school is in nearby Swarland where there is a golf course with licensed clubhouse, equestrian facilities and tennis/ bowling. The towns of Alnwick and Morpeth provide day to day shopping and further professional and commercial requirements.
