Our View

It is not very often that an opportunity arises to purchase a home full of character and located with a mature garden plot in an elevated position on the western edge of the market town of Alnwick, plus the benefit of planning permission to create a home with three reception rooms and three en-suite bedrooms.
Swansfield Lodge as the name suggests is a former lodge and in its present form is noteworthy due to an elegant appearance. The stone construction has interesting detailing such as mullioned windows with tracery above to the front elevation and an imposing entrance door. Internally the lobby leads to a cosy sitting room with an old brick fireplace complete with multi fuel burner. The dining kitchen retains an old cast iron stove housed in a stone surround, however purchasers will be glad to note that you no need to use this for cooking as there is a more recent fitted kitchen with a selection of wall/base units and integrated appliances and space for a dining table. The hallway has an exposed stone wall as a feature and this leads to the master bedroom with an ensuite shower room, bedroom two, the bathroom and there is a separate utility. Externally the gardens have mature planting with the front being laid mainly to gravel, a hedge divide leads to the side garden with a lawn that sweeps around and down past the rear of the property. We strongly recommend early viewing to avoid disappointment. We invite interested parties to take a detailed view of the location and property, whilst also absorbing the potential of the proposed plans. We anticipated a high level of interest and recommend early viewing.
