"15 Sledgate is a well-presented end terrace cottage, with a large, beautifully-maintained, south-facing garden at the rear. The surprisingly spacious accommodation is laid out on two floors and a particularly attractive feature is the Velux window over the staircase, which brings light down into the rear of the sitting room, as well as the landing and stairs. On the ground floor: sitting room with space for dining table and chairs, breakfast kitchen, large double bedroom and generous single bedroom with bathroom on the first floor. Central heating is oil-fired. The lengthy rear garden is laid out with lawn, herbaceous borders, patio and small lily pond, with two useful storage sheds and a vegetable plot. Rillington is a well-served village some four miles east of Malton and has the benefit of a primary school, village shop, two public houses and a parish church. Good local facilities are available in Malton, where there is a railway station, which connects with both York and Scarborough.
