"Originally part of the farm, Lower Whitecastle Barn is a substantial Grade II listed former agricultural barn which has planning consent to convert into a 4 bedroom dwelling. Located in a rural, although not isolated location, with breathtaking views across rolling Monmouthshire countryside, the barn would make a beautiful country home. The design of the barn is such that both the existing house and the new dwelling will retain privacy, the barn is with a sunny south facing outlook. Accessed via a private gated entrance, the barn is being offered with gardens and grounds of circa 2 acres plus a number of useful outbuildings and stabling. The barn is situated within a few miles of the historic White Castle, one of three that formed a triangle of fortresses to control entry into Wales. The castle's history dates back to Norman times and is one of the best preserved castles in the area.
