"This is a particular handsome and substantial Victorian six bedroomed semi detached house, with garage, occupying certainly one of the quieter residential roads in central Prenton. Only a handful of these particular design homes, with their distinguished sandstone mullions, were built here, along this stretch of Elm Road, Prenton and for that alone, we anticipate much interest....

An observation This family home is very much 'move-in-able', although you might want to do some updating to put your own stamp on it . And whilst we haven't of course carried out any form of survey (that's up to you), we do believe this is a property of integrity and offers an immensely exciting opportunity to create something special. Background The current residents have enjoyed a good twenty years here. On reflection what will be most fondly remembered, they tell us, other than the amount of space and rooms (naturally) is the ever so private and south west facing rear garden and secondly the proximity and ease to get to most places - especially schools - and with three children, this was of course, a huge advantage in moving here. General layout A distinguished projecting porch welcomes you through to a sizeable hall off which is a shower room and two fine front entertaining rooms. Off the rear living room, a room that has been extended over the years to make what is probably the most used room in the house, is the kitchen. Both this extended 'family' living room and the kitchen enjoy views to this private, well screened rear garden. Upstairs you'll find a tremendous landing area and four bedrooms and a bathroom. Of course, two of the larger double bedrooms mirror the size, shape and brightness (in the mornings especially) of the two front entertaining rooms. Up again and two more bedrooms offer good children's bedroom accommodation. However what the floor plan doesn't how is access from the front bedroom to a large loft area which does have sensible head height. Back at ground level and outside to the garden. Access from the rear can be reached via the utility room off the kitchen or through the sliding patio doors from the third of the entertaining rooms, the brightest and sunniest, for most of the day. It's fine garden space with immense privacy, an open aspect beyond the rear boundary and with an especially sheltered patio area too. Features within the house begin with the very handsome and quite unusual (for the district), projecting porch. This handsome hall also has character with its polished wood block floor which runs through into the front two entertaining rooms. All three have fireplaces, with a particularly attractive oak surround to the rear family room; one of the front rooms has an elegant bay window. The largest of the entertaining rooms is quite different from the other two. For its depth, its ability to take both dining and relaxing furniture and for its wide windows and doors maximising views to this private garden. The staircase in this house really is a 'feature' and a bright one at that too, catching all the morning sun from the deep landing window. The bedrooms are all great rooms with one of the larger having ample space with store space for a teenager en suite shower perhaps. The big 'potential' attraction, however, definitely lies in the loft space - we've even taken a photograph to give you an idea of the space and for that the opportunity... So, much space indeed and a few opportunities to certainly make your own mark, as it were. Now the house stands vacant more often than not these days and for that we have been entrusted as both key holders and viewing agents, so feel free to make an appointment to view. We can normally oblige within fairly short notice.
