The oast has two roundels: the left hand roundel dates back to circa 1743 and the right hand roundel is believed to have been constructed circa 1849. Externally there are two paddocks, a stable and garaging. The garage doors are electric and the dividing wall in the barn can easily be removed to create a 40' garage.

Mereworth is an agricultural village with views of outstanding beauty; of irregular field boundaries with a scattering of hop fields and a magnificent palladian style church, built of local stone in the early 1700s, views of which can be seen from the property itself. There are main line rail links to London at West Malling and Paddock Wood and the M20 is approximately four miles distant. Mereworth also benefits from a highly regarded primary school and is conveniently located for commuting to a number of excellent primary, secondary and grammar schools in the area.
