"You will not find a more charming and authentic character cottage than this. Built out of local stone in the 1850's the house has been part of village life in Standish for approximately 160 years and still retains many of its original features.Bought by our clients in 1998 they have painstakingly refurbished the property and when necessary sourced materials to sustain its character. The interior is beautifully presented and briefly includes: lounge, hand made fitted kitchen, utility, two bedrooms, converted loft room and a traditional style family bathroom. The property is warmed by gas central heating and benefits from a brand new condenser boiler only fitted in 2013.This lovely home is as stylish as it is practical, the present owners have presented it to a high standard throughout with a tasteful use of decor and the residence exudes a real charm. The lounge is set to the front of the property and features an attractive brick built fireplace with a wood burner. The kitchen provides a comprehensive range of wall and base units, all handmade with complimentary work surfaces, and built in appliances. Just off the kitchen is a separate utility room. On the first floor there are two good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom. The main bedroom features a unique vaulted ceiling and exposed beams and is finished with quality wooden flooring. The family bathroom affords a three piece suite in white comprising high level WC, pedestal wash hand basin and a cast iron roll top bath with complementary tiling to the walls.
