ABOUT LOW MILL Low Mill cotton mill was built for cotton weaving in 1783 on the site of a 13th-century corn mill. The mill was built by Thomas Hodgson who was a slave-trader and the son of a Liverpool merchant. The mill was still in use up until the 1970's and has since been converted into apartments which offer that luxurious feel. The grounds of which the Mill stand in can now be enjoyed by the residents with extensive open countryside walks and seating areas to enjoy. There was a large red brick chimney built in 1918 which was actually demolished by Fred Dibnah in1990. Close by in the centre of the village of Caton you will find a range of amenities and easy access to the M6 Motorway or the City of Lancaster can be gained easily. A BRIEF DESCRIPTION This particular apartment is located on the top floor of Low Mill and has access to the Tower on the far side of the building. The home opens up into a hallway which has a handy storage cupboard and a doorway opens up to the main living space. There is a feature window which has pleasing open views and the lounge is also open plan to both the kitchen and dining area.

The bedroom offers built in wardrobes, views and a stylish three piece shower room. Just off the bedroom you will walk into a rather handy study area which has eaves storage. This has also been used as a guest room. From here there is a further door which provides access to the Tower which has in the past been used as another study and storage area.

Externally is where you will find the rather impressive communal gardens which include several seating areas, fruit trees, a barbecue area and allocated parking along with impressive countryside views. WELCOME TO NUMBER 47 This top floor apartment opens into the well presented hallway which has been decorated in a neutral fashion and here you will find a rather handy storage cupboard where you could store your coats and shoes before stepping into the main living space. The hallway also has the entry phone system and a further door which will lead you through to the bedroom. OPEN PLAN LIVING The main living space is a rather attractive area and offers a real bright and airy feel due to the arched window which offers beautiful views over the front of the complex towards open countryside. The lounge offers an electric fire to the centre of the room with a flame effect for that cosy feel in the evenings and the room has been decorated in a soft colour scheme. There is also ample under eaves storage. Open plan to the lounge you will step into the kitchen and dining space.
The kitchen has been fitted with a good range of built in storage and there is plenty of space for the expected white goods. The electric oven and hob are both built in complete with an extractor canopy above. The splash backs have been tiled for ease of cleaning and there is plumbing available for both a washing machine and dishwasher. Open plan to the kitchen area you will step through to a space where you can dine which has ample natural light entering thanks to a large Velux style window complete with a fitted pull down blind. This space allows you to have a generous size table if you so wish and the neutral decoration theme continues. BEDROOM & SHOWER ROOM The bedroom is a truly wonderful size double room which benefits from having a range of built in wardrobes to storage away all your clothes and shoes etc. Two double glazed Velux style windows overlook the front of the property and offer stunning, uninterrupted views towards the communal gardens and open countryside. There is also a built in airing cupboard which houses the heating controls and the hot water cylinder along with space to store your towels and bedding.
The shower room is accessed straight off the bedroom and has been fitted with a contemporary three piece suite in white, comprising of a double walk in shower cubicle, a low flush WC and a large wall mounted sink with built in storage to the side and below. The walls and the floor have both been fully tiled for ease of cleaning and there is also a built in extractor fan. STUDY AREA & THE TOWER Also just off the bedroom you will find there is a handy room which could either be used as a study room or maybe even a dressing area depending on your needs. This room too has built in storage to the eaves and a double glazed Velux window with a fitted blind. This room is presently used as an occasional guest room.From this room you can walk through to the rear hallway, where you will find an extra entrance into the apartment just off the communal corridor and a spiral staircase will lead you up into the Tower. Once at the top of the tower you will find a room which would make an ideal home office and has shelving ideal for books. The room has natural light which enters from a UPVC double glazed window. EXTENSIVE COMMUNAL GARDENS AND GARAGE The communal entrance hallway has been recently decorated with new flooring also being laid. There are two staircases to the building and there is also a lift which will lead you to all levels. Within the grounds you will find various seating areas and extensive garden areas where you can walks through and enjoy pleasing countryside views. You will also find there is a handy barbecue area and there are fruit trees to one particular area. There are two bin store areas, a bike store, a recycling area and a drying area for your laundry. Allocated parking is also available with ample room for visitors to park.
