Home cottage is in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) and has fabulous views from the large garden over Farleton Knott, the Lakeland fells, and the Howgills (Yorkshire Dales). Ingleborough fell can also be seen from the garden. Yet, it is only minutes from the M6. Manchester is 60 minutes, Leeds 75 minutes through the Dales and Carlisle 45 minutes. It is about 10 miles from Kendal and Lancaster. The coast is only minutes away and there are many walks from the cottage.Leighton moss RSPB within walking distance.Excellent rail connections from Carnforth station four miles away.Really good neighbours.A fantastic place to live,we are only moving as it is now too big for us!It is an eclectic appealing mix of old and new.Two bedrooms,and a workroom and two reception rooms are in the 'old' house with thick solid stone walls.The house extension begins in the kitchen, which has a stable type door.The extension is approximately 15 years old.From the kitchen you cross to the shower room and then into the reception room with the balcony.A flight of wooden stairs leads down to two further rooms, a bedroom with small sitting room.The lower rooms look out over the garden. The house has been a family house for five but the extension could become a 'Grannyflat' or rooms for a young person to have their own space.
