Tonbridge is a small picturesque market town located between Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells with the surrounding rural villages of Hildenborough, Hadlow, Igtham, Shipbourne, Five Oak Green and Southborough. The town is steeped in history with its 13th century castle and gardens situated along the river Medway which runs through the town. The town's architecture has many influences from Tudor cottages right the way through in time to modern developments.
Education in Tonbridge is amongst the finest in the country. It has excellent Primary and Secondary schools as well as Grammar schools. It is also home to the renowned Tonbridge School which also houses the local theatre and Arts centre which is open to the public.
Transport links from Tonbridge mainline train station and Hildenborough train station take you to London in approximately 40 minutes, whilst the A21 accessed from either end of Tonbridge links you to the M25.
Community activities, parks, sports and golf courses are plentiful and not forgetting Tonbridge's newly refurbished indoor & outdoor pools.
