This fabulous 17th century building named after the book by Russell Thorndike ' Dr Syn' which was made into the famous film by Walt Disney with its oak beams, log fires that adds to this building irreplaceable character. Dr Syns is a grade 2 listed building set in Mill Road, all the houses and cottages in this road are of historical interest, with the smugglers cottage just over the road with its small look out windows.

This establishment has nearly always been run as a Hotel/Restaurant, but you could just live in the fantastic building with low running costs in rates such as water etc. Dr Syns has full central heating throughout and a doubled glazed conservatory. The other windows are original lead lights in keep with this fantastic building. All decoration is done to high standard as we trade as a guest house all year and open for lunches from Easter to September.

There is much more scope to do more than we do at the moment. (Have also taken many a famous guest for lunch & Hotel stop over see pics).
