"Rarely do such opportunities arise to purchase a character listed cottage in a village such as Wateringbury with the opportunity to put your own stamp on it. This property is not for the feint hearted as it does require total refurbishment but we feel it would make a lovely home once renovated. The property offers some scope to extend, subject to the usual consents being obtained (including listed building consent). Although the listing on the official listed building register dates the property to early 19th Century, we feel it could have considerably older origins and we also think you may well find a very large hidden fireplace in the sitting room judging by the depth of the wall.
