"A fabulous penthouse apartment in one of Folkestone’s most desirable locations with outstanding panoramic sea views. This home occupies the top two floors of this fine example of a detached Victorian building that is divided into large apartments, each benefiting from a share of the freehold. The common parts exude the charm and character associated with this era, featuring large windows creating an inviting and bright area complimented by an original staircase featuring ornate balustrades. When entering this home you are greeted with a feeling of space with glass panelled doors allowing natural light to stream through from the various living areas. Throughout you will see a well considered and sympathetic renovation with a contemporary design finish using high quality materials including solid oak flooring and natural herringbone coir carpeting. The free-standing solid oak kitchen is of the highest specification with granite work surfaces. There’s a large island unit where you can prepare your meals whilst looking the whole length of the open-plan living area to the sea and beyond. This is a great space for chatting to guests while cooking. The open-plan living area incorporates a dining room and lounge where the sea fills the view through French doors that open out onto the balcony with the most outstanding views of the English Channel. You will struggle to find somewhere better to enjoy breakfast or share dinner and wine with friends.

What the Owner says:

We were instantly inspired by this property and chose to sympathetically update it without removing its unique features and character. The apartment has generous well proportioned rooms which flow together really well. It is very much about the view of the Channel with France to one side, the amazing Dungeness to the other and the sun all-day long. We never tire of looking at the sea which keeps us captivated in any weather or season. Coupled with the size of the apartment, the kitchen and the entertainment space for our friends to share, this is simply a great property. My wife is a keen gardener and loves the shared garden in which she grows our vegetables.
