HOW TO GET THERE In Bittaford, turn under the railway bridge towards Wrangaton, and continue up the hill out of the village. Moorhaven's entrance is on the left after half a mile. Go up the drive, over the two speed humps, and turn left into Tower Lane. Turn left again into The Mews, and Number 6 The Mews will be found in the top left hand corner. MOORHAVEN Moorhaven Village is a unique development of Victorian buildings renovated in the late '90s from a former hospital which has created a village of about a hundred individual homes set in 65 acres of landscaped grounds. Moorhaven has a strong community spirit with a film club which also raises money for charity, a book club, a yoga club, a gardening group, a quarterly gazette and a useful website at www.moorhaven.org.uk. Set on the edge of Dartmoor all Moorhaven properties have the use of about 15 acres of communal grounds that include a sports field, arboretum, nursery school, two tennis courts, a croquet lawn and boules court. Wrangaton golf course is nearby and a public footpath leads from the grounds onto the moor behind.
