Situation
Saltwood is a quintessential Kentish village situated approximately a mile inland from the coastal market town of Hythe on the edge of the Romney Marsh. It is a thriving village centred on a village green with a War Memorial, an ancient fountain and a beautiful horse chestnut tree. Around the green is a popular public house, village hall, a general stores and a thriving village restaurant Saltwood on the Green. The parish church of St. Peter and St. Paul's is a wonderful Norman building and across the fields is Grange Farm and beyond Saltwood Castle. The village primary school is particularly popular and successful and so is the Cricket Club with the grounds and pavilion.

Entrance into

High speed rail links to London are via trains from Sandling station and Folkestone West. The M20 motorway nearby provides links to the remainder of Kent and Eurotunnel in Cheriton offers connections to France and the Continent.
