"Tucked away in a small courtyard setting in the heart of Petersfield lies this gem. The former almshouse was built in 1771 and converted in the late 1970's retaining many period features.

The house in our opinion is beautifully presented and offers a wealth of charm and character.

The sitting room is of a good size and the inglenook fireplace and log burner really set the scene for cosy nights in front of the fire. The kitchen/dining room has been well planned with plenty of room for a farmhouse table, the perfect spot to enjoy a good family catch up or simply an evening meal.

There are various built in appliances with plenty of surface and cupboard space along with plumbing for washing machine and dishwasher. The house has three good size bedrooms, one of which is located on the ground floor, this combined with the benefit of a downstairs cloakroom make the room ideal for if later in life stairs become a struggle or you have elderly guests come to stay. The two remaining bedrooms are located on the first floor along with the family bathroom.

Outside there is a lawn area along with a private courtyard garden, the courtyard has a very sunny aspect great for relaxing and soaking up the sun, and there is even plenty of space for a shed. The house comes with three allocated parking spaces which is quite rare for a property located in central Petersfield.

What the Owner says:

We bought our house 24 years ago and have been very happy here. The central location means we can walk to all local amenities. Shops, library, train station, restaurants are all within easy reach.

We also enjoy the fact that it is a unique old house with a wealth of beams and a long history.

Over the years we have improved the property by having gas central heating installed, opening up the inglenook fireplace and installing a wood burner, replacing both kitchen and bathroom and installing velux windows. However the biggest selling point must be the sunny gardens and off road parking which is rare in this part of town.
