"This large five bedroom detached house has been brought right into the 21st century by the current owners who have transformed the 1980's style and layout into a light vibrant family home with endless open plan living space with bi-folding doors leading out into the rear garden. They have also had the kitchen and bathrooms refitted and have blended this with attractive oak internal joinery to provide a stunning home.

The heating system has been revamped and the owners have done away with the old artex ceilings replacing these with more popular flat skimmed ceilings with down lighters.

The front door opens into the impressive entrance hall where the immediate feeling of space is enhanced when looking up to the wide galleried landing, which has a most attractive oak balustrade and staircase. From here there are sliding glazed doors leading into the main living area where the kitchen, dining room and living room have been incorporated into one expansive space that has plenty of natural light and provides the perfect environment for the whole family to relax and socialise. Oak flooring in the living room

(which has a very attractive fireplace) gives way to tiled floors extending from the dining room through the kitchen and into the utility room.

The kitchen has been superbly fitted with an extensive array of cupboard space and polished granite work surfaces. There are also integrated appliances and the utility room has also been refitted to complement the kitchen. For quieter moments there is a study at the front of house and this has fitted office furniture. Completing the ground floor is the downstairs cloakroom and two handy storage cupboards off the hall.

The first floor starts with the wide galleried landing which has a deep picture window reaching from the ground floor upwards. The master bedroom is set to the rear and has a walk-in wardrobe and a refitted en-suite with a large step-in shower and contemporary sanitary ware. There are four further bedrooms, all of which are of decent size and all having built-in wardrobe space, enhancing this property's appeal as an ideal family home. The main bathroom has also been refitted with an attractive modern suite and, like the en-suite, is fully tiled. It too has a shower over the bath.

Moving outside, there is a nice garden to the rear, which has a paved patio extending across the back of the house and this has a lawn beyond with some flower and shrub beds. To the front there is a raised lawn and a block-paved driveway providing plenty of parking together with a double width detached garage, which has a 'sealed floor', storage cupboards and electric power and light.

The property is set at the end of a cul-de-sac in a sought after area and within walking distance of the pretty village of Old Basing. Overall, this is an exceptional family home with a high specification in a very desirable area.
