Andover is a picturesque market town in the Test Valley and is in the English country of Hampshire. The town is on the River Anton approximately 18.5 miles west of the town of Basingstoke, approximately 18.5 miles north-west of the city of Winchester and the South West and London, also to the M3 to Southampton, and is on the main rial link to London. Andover's narrow paths and walkways have been dated to Saxon times with buildings from the 18th century and was an important stop for the London mail coach and coaches destined for Southampton and Oxford. The nearby Museum of Army Flying, the Hawk Conservatory Trust, Museum of the Iron Age, College, Leisure Centre and recent addition Cinema provide some of the things to do in the area. In town can be found a wide variety of quality restaurants, supermarkets and shops, including a large Asda store and restaurant. There is also a highly active market in the town centre which is good for the bargain hunters. Eardley Avenue has access to the A303, is approximately 10 minutes walk via pedestrian walk ways to the rail station, and sits on the bus route into town and the bus station. 10 minutes walk or less will also take you to Anton Lakes nature reserve, with its children's play areas, cycle paths, golf course and crazy golf, Schools for juniors and seniors are all within walking distance.
