"A handsome and spacious Victorian semi-detached house with a principally south-west facing garden and off road parking. The house is beautifully appointed and retains all of the features associated with a building of this period with well-proportioned rooms, high ceilings and large sash windows creating a light and airy feel throughout. The generous living accommodation includes a sitting room with a central fireplace as well as a separate dining room with a solid fuel Rayburn opening to the kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a full range of cabinets with a gas hob, oven and space for a dishwasher. The house has been carefully extended and the kitchen opens into a very useful utility area. There are three bedrooms and a cloakroom to the first floor and a lovely bathroom suite (to the ground floor) with a roll top bath, shower cubicle and travertine flooring. Of note, the loft area has been partially converted to create a photography dark room and is accessed via a retractable loft ladder. In addition, there is a very attractive garden accessed through a stable door, together with a bespoke detached studio outbuilding and off road parking for two vehicles.

Situation
The house stands just off Tower Street about one mile to the south west of the High Street between The Butts green and the High Street. Much of the appeal of the popular market town of Alton is its location amidst fine Hampshire countryside between the regional centres of Guildford, Farnham and Basingstoke. The historic market town of Alton has a good range of high street shops, senior schools, further educational college, Alton School, sports centre, two outlying golf courses and mainline railway station to London Waterloo. The A31 provides a link to the A3 and M3 providing a route to London, the south west and beyond.

Outside
The garden is principally to the rear and has been landscaped to take full advantage of the principally south-west aspect with an outdoor oakwood seating area and wood fired 'pizza' oven. The garden is well stocked with a variety of flowering plants and shrubs which together with several young and mature tress provides a good degree of seclusion. Within the garden there is a detached studio with power, water and drainage connected. This is a very versatile bespoke outbuilding that could be utilised for home working or as studio / hobby area. There is also an area of garden to the front with a variety of climbing plants. To the rear of the garden, a gate provides access to a screened area providing off road parking for two vehicles."
