"A very well appointed and spacious detached family house of attractive and traditional design occupying an exceptionally convenient and popular location within the town being within about 1/2 a mile of the mainline railway station, Anstey Park and High Street. The house is one of the larger McAlpine designs within Shipley Close built in 2000 and has been enhanced and extended to the rear to provide excellent family accommodation with a conservatory directly off the kitchen/breakfast room and dining room. The conservatory now provides a natural link between the kitchen, dining room and garden. The further accommodation includes a sitting room with a feature gas fireplace. The kitchen is fitted with a range of cabinets, integrated appliances and work surfaces. There are five well proportioned bedrooms including a principal bedroom suite, second bedroom suite and separate family bathroom. Of note, bedroom five is currently used as a study and is fitted with a bespoke desk, drawers and cabinets and provides an ideal work space. This is a very appealing family home occupying a very convenient location within the town.

Situation
The house stands off a no-though road within half a mile of the High Street and playing fields of Anstey Park and a quarter of a mile of the mainline railway station.   The historic market town of Alton has a good range of high street shops, weekly and specialist markets, senior schools, further education college, Alton convent school, sports centre, two outlying golf courses and mainline station to London Waterloo.

Outside
The house is approached via its own gated brick paved driveway providing ample parking and access to the garage. The garage has been divided to create two internal storage areas as well as two studio rooms. The overall space could be returned to its original purpose upon sale dependent upon an individual purchasers requirements. The house is set behind an area of lawn to the front with mature shrubs and hedgerows. The garden to the rear is a very special feature of the property and has been especially landscaped to take full advantage of the setting with a stone paved terrace and decking area providing an ideal outside seating area with lighting and automated irrigation to both the rear and front. The lawn is beyond the area of decking and bordered by a variety of shrubs. There is a detached timber framed outbuilding that could be utilised as a home office or separate outside entertaining room with power and light. There is also a garden store to the rear of the outbuilding and an implement store to the side of the property."
