" Surrounded by beautiful farmland, this period cottage is located in a semi-rural location in Bighton, just five minutes' drive from the market town of Alresford. The property benefits from having plenty of versatile ground floor space, and a pretty garden with privacy, outbuildings and a garage.

The front door opens to a long hallway, with a door to the left which opens to the study/family room/fourth bedroom. Beyond, double doors open to the dining room and kitchen, which has underfloor heating and features a range of kitchen units with worktops and built-in appliances. The kitchen is open-plan to the light and airy dining room, which has French doors to the garden. Across the hall is the spacious sitting room, which has a wood burning stove installed. There is a bathroom with a white suite.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two of which are doubles. The main bedroom has a good number of built-in wardrobes and doors to a small balcony. There is a shower room off the landing.

Outside, the attractive garden enjoys a good deal of privacy and seclusion. There is a terraced seating area adjoining the rear of the house, with a lawn, fishpond, flower and shrub borders and a couple of shed/ outbuildings. The garage has an up-and-over door and measures 5.4 by 4.2 metres.

Bighton is known for having a strong and active community, centred around the village hall. The town of Alresford lies 2.5 miles to the south. The cathedral city of Winchester is just a few miles away and there is easy access to the south coast, the midlands and London via the road network. There is mainline rail access to London from Winchester and Alton.
