You can also enjoy a trip on the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge railway which runs 7 miles inland from the Wharf Station in Tywyn to Nant Gwernol in Abergynolwyn.

Bryncrug is 2 miles from Llanegryn and is a pleasant and popular residential village The village has a small family run shop and Public House. A footpath and cycle path has recently been created between Tywyn and Bryncrug to provide a safe walking and cycling route.

The nearby seaside town of Tywyn approximately 4 miles away, provides a range of facilities and amenities such as High Street Shops, Banks, Supermarkets, Post Office, Schools, Traditional Cinema, a number of individual Cafes and Restaurants, a thriving Bakery and established family-owned Butcher and Ironmonger Shop, Churches and Chapels, Cottage Hospital, Medical centre and Dentist, Leisure Facilities to include a Leisure Centre, Skate Park and Astro-turf pitch together with the Promenade. A weekly market is held throughout the Summer. Tywyn also benefits from the Cambrian Coast railway line with links Northwards along the West Coast and also to the Midlands Area and beyond.
