"VENDOR COMMENTS As soon as I opened the door to number 27 I was smitten. The winter sun was streaming through the coloured panes of the south facing Edwardian windows and it made me completely ignore the lack of central heating, hot water or kitchen and the truly frightening 70s bathroom suite. That was the start of an 8 year labour of love to restore original features and renew others that had seen better days. We searched for matching original fireplaces, new cast iron radiators and took mouldings of original woodwork so that we could replace damaged sections faithfully. We were able to save and recondition three original sash windows, and the rest were replaced with new, double glazed hard wood windows. We built the large extension in reclaimed brick and the resulting kitchen diner is now the hub of the house. We're so sad to be leaving but hopeful that this home and the friendly neighbourhood it sits in will make the next owners as happy as we have been here.
Agents Description To echo the comments of the seller 'As soon as I opened the door to number 27 I was smitten'. I was also stunned, impressed, speechless and almost made an offer myself until I remembered I was there to carry out a valuation. Some houses do that to us all and for me this was one of them. As I stood in the kitchen looking out of the full drop double doors into the well tended garden, for a minute I completely forgot where I was.
