"There is something timeless about this four-bedroom semi-detached home in Acton. The charming and substantial house sits tucked away behind a hedge at the end of a quiet street, lined with other pretty Victorian buildings. And with planning permission in place to extend, it's also future-proof for a growing family.

Allison Road belongs to an established and coveted part of West London: a family-orientated community with well-regarded schools, plentiful green spaces and various transport links whether you re heading into central London or escaping to the countryside. Come December 2019, when the Crossrail works are scheduled to complete, journeys to Liverpool Street, Canary Wharf and Heathrow will be a cinch (around 30 minutes door to door).

Brickworks Says The minute you walk in, there?s a warmth to the place. The house retains many period features, such as the high ceilings with coving detail and ornate ceiling roses, broad bay-fronted windows, an open fireplace, and stained glass windows.

But that?s not to say this house isn?t set up for modern living. Laid out over two storeys, it has generous amounts of lateral living space. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a study, large bathroom and shower room ? ample of room for most families. Downstairs, the large open-plan kitchen and dining area is a sunlit and sociable space. Opening out onto a paved patio and neat, lawned garden, which provides additional room to entertain or let the kids run themselves ragged.

The best bit? When it comes to ?me-time?, there?s no doubt the summer house is the place to be. It currently contains a small bar and is complete with bi-fold doors that expand the entire length of one side. Of course, this could be whatever you need it to be ? a smart home office, kids? zone, and anything in between. The Owners Say We absolutely love Acton as it has a very community/village feel, especially on Churchfield Road. People here are very friendly and chatty.

Our location couldn?t be better. Tucked-away in a peaceful cul-de-sac, within 2-4 minutes walking distance you have two local stores (Co-op & Sainsbury?s local), three newsagents, a petrol station, Acton Main Line (Crossrail), great Chinese & Indian takeaways, hairdressers, pharmacy and dry cleaner?

We love our house too, and if we could take it with us and place it in Derbyshire, we would! Our neighbours are fantastic, and the street is quiet, so we couldn?t have asked for anything more. We will truly miss it. Points to Consider The EPC gives a current Energy Efficiency Rating: C & Environmental Impact Rating: D

Part of the borough of Ealing, the house falls into Council Tax Band F (?2,080 2017/2018)

There is potential to enlarge the living space ? in 2017, a joint application with the neighbour was granted by the council to significantly alter the property with a side-return extension this includes over the entrance hall and up into the loft. Detailed information on request.

The Crossrail programme means Acton main line will be majorly improved, with much faster and easier access across London and Berkshire. Even now, the connections are good with North Acton, West Acton and Acton Town (all Underground) and Acton Central (Overground) stations all within walking distance.
