"Situated between Chepstow and Monmouth above the beautiful Wye Valley, within the pretty parish of Hewelsfield and Brockweir, which boasts an excellent locally run village shop and caf?. The Old Rectory, which dates back to around the 1820's and earlier is situated in the hamlet of Hewelsfield which clusters around the ancient church of St Mary Magdalen. The house has been in current ownership for over three decades. The property has fine views over the Severn estuary to the Cotswolds. Approaching an acre, the gardens and grounds lie to the side and rear with lawned areas, vegetable plots, mature trees and shrubs. Attractive stone walls form parts of the property boundary and there is an old well (no longer productive). Internally the property contains original character features including folding shutters to a number of large windows and period fireplaces.
