"Located on a no through lane opposite Stinchcombe Hill Golf Course lies the most beautiful quintessential detached English cottage. Set within extensive grounds made up of parkland and formal country-style gardens, this property is a real gem. This charming period Cotswold stone residence is believed to have 17th Century origins and to have formerly been two gamekeepers' cottages. There are several character features including leaded light casement windows, the magnificent inglenook fireplaces with stone surrounds and traditional bread oven and exposed beams. The present owners have designed and made several improvements including opening up the access between the fitted kitchen to the dining room creating a more informal living area plus the construction of four garages with the addition of a workshop behind electric gates offering extra security. The property enjoys versatile accommodation with three reception rooms, although the study lends itself for use as a guest bedroom with en ensuite bathroom. The gardens too are a particular feature of the property, having been beautifully tended and extremely well stocked. The front garden is entirely surrounded by natural Cotswold stone walls offering privacy and morning sunshine. The rear gardens enjoy a southerly aspect and are laid to lawn and beyond a more natural parkland setting is enjoyed. From the top, delightful views look back towards the property and Stinchcombe Hill Golf Course. STR110251"
