"This is a unique and beautifully restored period family residence situated in a prominent, desirable location. The house has colour washed rendered elevations relieved by sash hung windows and a most attractive classic entrance portico at the top of a flight of stone steps. The property has undergone a stunning refurbishment by the present owners, who have created a magnificent home of superior specification with fixtures and fittings of the highest quality and design; thus creating a successful blend of period elegance and contemporary styling. The living and bedroom accommodation is flexible and can therefore be used in the best way to suit your lifestyle. The present owners use the lower ground floor as a children's floor with bedrooms, playroom or sixth bedroom and wet room. Whilst on the first floor there are a further three double bedrooms, one being a superb master suite with bay window and stairs to an en-suite wet room on the mezzanine floor. The main reception rooms have large windows and high ceilings. The drawing room is the full depth of the house, approximately 40ft in length. The staircase has an attractive lions claw banister and the landing above has windows front and rear that allow the upper floor and hallway to be flooded with light. Access to the kitchen is either from the dining room or the rear of the hall on the raised ground floor where a large granite breakfast bar overlooks the vaulted, family room which is a wonderful four season room because of a large wood burning stove for the winter and full width concertina doors which open to the garden for the summer months. The gardens are a particular feature, to the front a lawn with original railings and to the rear the garden is a generous size enclosed by a high Victorian wall, laid to lawn with a terrace area and recently planted trees to the boundary. An electrically operated gate opens to a spacious driveway with plenty of parking and turning space and a double garage. Montpellier, the Town Centre and excellent schools are all within walking distance being around a quarter to half a mile away. This location is tucked away from main roads but within a stroll of some of the best restaurants and shopping in Cheltenham. It is rare that a detached attractive residence of such fabulous design and location becomes available in one of Cheltenham's most highly regarded residential avenues."
