"A rare opportunity to purchase a Georgian/Victorian semi detached house, overlooking Montpellier Gardens and within walking distance of Montpellier, an area of Cheltenham with a cosmopolitan lifestyle having cafes with wonderful on street terraces and wine bars, close to the town centre. Cheltenham became a spa town in 1716, although its popularity flourished after King George III visited in 1788. Its heyday as a spa town was to last from about 1790 to 1840 and it was during these years that many of the towns fine Regency terraces, crescents and villas were built. The accommodation is currently used as two separate dwellings with access to the rear section provided by a external rear stairway. The property would benefit from updating and modernisation but still retains much of the character associated with the period. Currently the accommodation comprises entrance hall with stairs to the first floor and down to the cellar, sitting room with bay window and beautiful ornate fireplace and separate dining room also with a beautiful fireplace and window overlooking the front.
